We have a nusery in our house! I've been feeling a little overwhelmed by this change in our house...so has Izzy. It's not 100% complete but well on it's way to welcome our pumpkin!
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Not much to report, belly button is popped all the way out these days, sleeping is getting more difficult...hmmm I feel like a human garbage disposal most days and my back is still hurting. Ok I guess that was more than not much :)

25 weeks
As of Friday July 13th we are 25 weeks pregnant. Friday night we started our baby registration...so weird! I never thought that day would come when we'd get to do that let alone the thought of a baby here in OUR arms!

so common
The struggles of infertility/miscarriage/pregnancy loss seem to be so common these days and my own struggles are never far from my mind even though I'm blessed with a baby growing each day inside of me. It seems like everyday I read about someone, meet someone, etc. who has had their own struggles in one or more of these "areas." I wish I could take away the pain and sadness and replace it with joy. I am sure most people cannot comprehend that I still struggle with what I've been through, how could I now that I'm pregnant. This baby is truly a blessing and an answered prayer but it does not replace the two babies I've lost and all the tears that have been shed. In some shape or form I continue to feel my calling to somehow or another be a voice or support for women and men out there who are/did go through these same struggles.

1 year & 24 weeks
On July 5th it had been a year since we found out baby Sweet Pea was gone, the day itself was not as bad as I thought it would be, it could be the fact that our lil pumpkin kept reminding me all day the blessing in my belly. It is so crazy what a difference a year makes although it was a looooooooong year. I did have a few moments of remembering July 5th the previous year, hearing our doctor tell us the baby had no heartbeat and had stopped growing about 1 1/2 weeks earlier as we watched the ultrasound monitor with a picture of our lifeless baby, having to tell our family we lost another baby, seeing my husband break down and then try to be strong for me. I also felt so blessed to feel our baby kicking lots throughout the day. I miss my baby Sweet Pea each and every day, always wondering what he/she looks like, the sound of his/her cry, etc.
The following day we had our 24 week appointment which included another ultrasound to hopefully get a profile of the baby's face, check the cyst and my placenta. I am so excited to say we walked out of the doctor's office with 100% good news! Although the baby was not being super cooperative they were able to get a profile of the baby's face (not the best but it was good enough for the doctor), the cyst is gone, and my placenta has moved back enough! It felt like the first time in years we've received all good news, needless to say S and I were both very excited as we left. It was wonderful to see the baby again, who has a great heart beat of 147 and weighs 1 lb 10 oz!
