3 months

HOW ON EARTH ARE YOU 3 MONTHS OLD?!

These days you LOVE your playmat, you grab all the animals, like seeing yourself in the mirror, kick the "bars" so the animals rattle, and this is where you have rolled over 4 times now! You're just starting to like tummy time and the Bumbo as long as you have a toy in front of you to hold onto and put in your mouth...eveything goes in your mouth :)  Daddy (and Dude) talk in weird lanuages to you and you think it's really really really funny...lots of smiles and laughs when they do this.  I love how you have an interest and wonder about Izzy, when she runs around the house you often will watch her although most times you can't keep up with how fast she is.  You've learned to soothe yourself by sucking your 2 middle fingers on your left hand (like your cousin Macy) and play/pet your hair with your right hand (must have learned this from aunt Shannon).    You continue to sleep through the night (thank you from the bottom of our hearts)!  In the last few days you have been faking coughing and trying to pull yourself up to sit when you're laying down...I tell you often STOP GROWING!  I love watching you grow and change everyday.

sleepless nights

I fully expected to have sleepless nights, to be walking around like a zombie still BUT Charlotte has been sleeping through the night since around 6 weeks old.  There have been a few nights of waking once to eat or going to bed at 1am but overall she sleeps through the night or at least what she thinks is the night.  I hate to complain about it but she goes to bed too late and sleeps late in the am...not my kind of schedule, I'm not a late night person nor do I like getting up late in the morning I feel like my day is wasted thankfully Izzy wakes me early enough to start my day.  I am very thankful and feel very blessed to have such an amazing sleeper!

And they all...

ROLL OVER!  Charlotte rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time (on 1/9/12)!!! Of course daddy was out of town but Dudie got to see her!  It only happened once but I'm still so excited also a bit sad over how quickly she is growing up :)

So many smiles

Charlotte is the smilest baby I've ever been around.  I feel like we are so blessed to have such an easy, happy baby.  These days she is trying to pull her self into a sitting position (while being held), smiles, smiles, and more smiles, she often sleeps through the night, loves her jungle playmat, oh did I mention smiling...she's sort of like Buddy the Elf smiling is probably her favorite thing to do.  She does not like being in her carseat if she is not sleeping...makes car trips oh so fun :)  She is starting to enjoy her bathtime more and more, she used to just seem indifferent about it but now she kicks around and smiles (shocking!).  She also has started recogizing other people's voice and where they are coming from, she's really in tune to her daddy's voice and loves watching Izzy.

I've been more tired than I had the past 2 months because S is dealing with back issues, praying no surgery.  I'm pretty much having to take care of Charlotte by myself since he is barely able to hold her for long periods of time.  Thankfully I have help nearby if needed just have to remember to ask.

2 months & Christmas

On 12/22/12 we not only celebrated our 5 year anniversary but Charlotte's 2 month birthday :)  how on earth is she 2 months old already?!  I cannot even begin to imagine this time next year with a 14 month old running around at Christmas...actually I cannot wait!

We decided to take Charlotte to see Santa.  We actually had to wake her up so she wasn't overly smilely like we hoped but still as cute as ever.

Christmas started on 12/23 with celebrating with the Balke, Smith, Ostrenga families at Dude and Gigi's house.  It was a wonderful relaxing day with lots of hugs, kisses, and cuddles for Charlotte.  Santa made a special visit to our house on the night of the 23rd and we (mom, dad, Charlotte, and Izzy) opened presents on the morning of 12/24 hung out at home until we went to Great Grandma Barb and Great Buddy's house.  On 12/25 we went to Papa and Nana's house for our last Christmas celebration.  Charlotte slept through 3 of the 4 Christmases...not surprising it was a bit overwhelming  but fun.

Charlotte you received a lot of clothes, bath toys, a piggy bank, books, and your favorite a musical light up toy for your crib...thank you Dudie and Gigi!
