I'm still feeling pretty good, just lots of waves of extreme tiredness and sore boobs. S likes to refer to the baby as the size of the fruit it is each week, pretty cute if you ask me. :)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Moving onto weeks and days...
I am 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant! I've decided it's time to change the titles of my posts after having our first ultrasound and seeing our baby today! There is only one little baby in there which is just fine by us :) I am going to do weekly (possibly more than weekly) updates about our pregnancy journey. So far I've been tired a lot, some food cravings or I guess not wanting certain foods more than anything, and my boobs are really sore!

Your embryo (looking kind of like a tadpole) is starting to form major organs (heart, kidney, liver, stomach) and systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive). Baby's presence in your uterus triggers production of hCG (the hormone detected by pregnancy tests)... which triggers production of other hormones like estrogen and progesterone... which trigger all those great symptoms you've probably been noticing!

day thirtyone, day thirtytwo & day thirtythree round three
I've been a slacker but I think I'm allowed to since I'm so tired all the time. Other than being tired 24/7 no other symptoms really just my boobs are getting sore. I feel like this week is going to drag on because we have something to look forward to with the ultrasound next Monday. I'm not really looking forward to being out of town this weekend and getting all the questions about why I'm not drinking at a wedding...if it weren't so early still I wouldn't mind telling people but it's still so new and early.

day twentyseven round three
OH MY GOSH! It still feels unreal to think WE ARE PREGNANT! I was so excited and shocked yesterday I did not even finish listening to the voice mail from the nurse all I heard was "we received the results from you hcg test and it was positive, you're pregnant" before I burst into sobs and uncontrollable shaking all while trying as quickly as I could to call S. After we talked and cried for a bit on the phone we finished listening to the voice mail together. My hcg level was at 52 which is in the normal range for 4 weeks and my progesterone was 13.8. I proceed to go to my parents work to tell them the good news, there was more crying, hugging, laughing, praising the Lord. Next I called my brother then sister in law, my oldest sister who did not answer the 3 times I called so I called my second oldest sister, and FINALLY my oldest sister called back. We also told my in laws and sister in law. I let my BFFF know as well :) I go in tomorrow morning for another blood draw and another on Friday. The RE is going to monitor my hcg level to make sure it is doubling in 48 hours. YAY!!!!!!!
