going through the motions

I feel like I am just going through the motions of Christmas time.  Bake cookies, go shopping, wrap presents, listen to Christmas music, put up the tree and decorations, it goes on and on but there is no excitement about it once again.  I'm not sure how to be excited and happy about a time of year that is so heart aching to me, I'm not sure how to get back the joy that used to surround this time of year for me.
